Description:

A world-famous rock star, a struggling single mum afraid to love. Will this explosive mix bring happiness or disaster?

Daniel Haynes has the world at his feet- fame, fortune, so why does he feel so empty inside? What is his interest in Rachel Warner, a girl from a quiet Home Counties English town? Why does she hold the key to his happiness?

But Rachel Warner is scared. Daniel's interest in her threatens her ordered yet unsatisfying life because she has to live with the shadow of her ex-father-in-law breathing over her shoulder. Can she let go of her fears?

Brandi’s Review:

Let me begin that anything British, I adore. I remember watching the movie Emma when I was younger and was lost to the world of Jane Austen from then on.  So over the years British humor has always peaked my interest, and I find myself watching the BBC often.  Which means I laughed out loud several times while reading Cold, Cold Heart, earning strange looks from my family.

Don't let the name fool you, this is a gut-wrenching emotional book about love and loss and really crappy people.  But the shenanigans that goes on with Rachel and her best friend Lynn keep things light enough to make a perfect balance.  The only thing I felt was out of balance was the beyond sexy, vulnerable, lovable, and all other "able" words you can think of Daniel.  It might be because we don't have many musicians who are like the wonderful Daniel, but hey, it's fiction right?

I adored this book, and recommend it to anyone who has had a crush on some famous rock star, *cough*Jon Bon Jovi*cough*,or loves the Graham Norton show, or simply enjoys a little tissue with their reading. Excellent work, Viviane.

  3. Super review, Brandi and congratulations, Viv, on writing such a delight of a book.

Love all your books but perhaps Daniel Haynes is my favourite hero--a close run thing, though.
